Our history and structure

  2. Approval by the Metropolitan Bishop of Katowice (2016)
  3. Approval of SECiM’s activities by the Rector of the Polish Catholic Mission in England and Wales.
  4. Approval of SECiM’s activities by the Coordinator of Polish pastoral ministry in Ireland
  5. Blessing and encouragement from Bishop Alan Mc Guckian for the evangelisation activities within Raphoe Diocese (2019)

Structure of the community:

  1. Fr. Przemysław Sawa is the Director and Pastor of the Community who, together with the General Council, manages the activities of SECiM as a whole and answers directly to the bishops.
  2. SECiM consists of local communities, led by local coordinators designated by the General Council in consultation with the local priest and with the people responsible in a given place. Coordinator may be supported by a local council. Each community has its own local pastor, who guards the unity with the Church and performs priestly functions. CYRIL AND METHODIUS SCHOOL OF EVANGELIZATION AND SASE: Cyril and Methodius School of Evangelizsation employs a programme of formation created by the Saint Andrew School of Evangelization („SASE”) by offering and attending its courses. SASE is a school founded by a lay theologian José H. Prado Flores from Mexico in response to St. John Paul II’s call to action: „New evangelisation, new fervour, new methods, new forms of expression.” Still, Saint Andrew School of New Evangelisation is not a community, but a pastoral project. On the other hand, SECiM as a community has a systematic way of formation between the courses and implements the communal nature of the Christian identity. Two representatives of SECiM belong to the SASE National Team.
